From its early beginnings at its founder’s dining table in Pāuatahanui in 2007, HazardCo has grown into one of New Zealand’s leading providers of health and safety systems and advice for NZ businesses.
The company offers purpose-built health and safety systems for the office, construction, manufacturing, and agriculture and horticulture sectors. It also has its own HazardCo App that allows businesses to review and manage health and safety in the workplace.
“Health and safety is commonly seen as complex and time consuming. We’ve focused on making it accessible. Our motto is ‘health and safety made simple’. We provide Health and Safety systems for small-to-medium sized businesses to implement in their organisations to help ensure they meet their health and safety obligations,” says Katrina Henderson, HazardCo’s General Manager.
HazardCo now has team of 38, with 22 based at HazardCo’s spacious, sunny Porirua head office that looks over the Pāuatahanui inlet, and 16 representatives from Bluff to Kaitaia providing health and safety support to New Zealand businesses.
“It’s the best place to be – rent wise, facility wise, free parking – Porirua is perfect for us. Most of us who work here also live in the area and when we get together as a wider team for conferences we still tend to hold them in Porirua. Everything is accessible.”
