There's always plenty going on in Porirua, especially as the city grows. Here are some of the projects that have been completed. (Note: projects that have their own webpages may not feature here)

Aotea Lagoon south end renewal

Aotea Lagoon’s southern entry and rose garden area has been rejuvenated to make this part of the popular Porirua reserve modern, safer and more inviting.

Fantame Street - People Changing Streets

The People Changing Streets project in eastern Porirua’s Fantame Street neighbourhood has made Fantame Street nicer and safer for people to use.

Papakōwhai Road shared path and intersection upgrade

We’ve connected schools, parks, and public transport with a shared path along Papakōwhai Road, completed in October 2024.

Titahi Bay Community Safety Audit

In 2021 we worked on two key projects concerning the overall safety at Titahi Bay Beach which the community had the opportunity to be involved in and give us feedback.

Tītahi Bay Marines Hall memorial project

The project has been completed and is now open for community use.

Waitangirua and Te Ara Kāpehu (Whitby) link roads – service upgrades

Work to improve electricity services and increase drinking water supply has been completed along two Transmission Gully link roads.
