The Proposal

Mana Squash Club have made an application to extend the area of their existing lease within Ngāti Toa Domain. Most of the existing lease area is currently occupied by the Club building. The existing building contains 3 squash courts (one with seating), changing facilities, a small gym, an office, and a function room. The extension of the lease area is proposed to allow for an addition to the Squash Club building containing a new full glass squash court, seating, and associated facilities.

Ngāti Toa Domain is classified as recreation reserve under the Reserves Act 1977 (the Act). The parcel of land that the lease extension would be required over is Lot 1 DP 46488. Public notification of the lease area extension proposal is required under sections 54(2), 119, and 120 of the Act.

Once submissions are received, submitters who wish to be heard will be invited to a hearing on Thursday 5 May 2022.
