Porirua wards

Porirua City is represented by a Mayor and 10 Councillors across three wards: Onepoto General Ward, Pāuatahanui General Ward and Parirua Māori Ward.

What is a ward?

The elected members (Mayor and Councillors) all represent the different wards so it's important that you vote for someone who you think values your community.

Porirua City has three wards: two general wards which are broken down by suburbs and one Māori ward incorporating those on the Māori electoral roll.
