Te Puna Kōrero is the main committee that makes decisions about the city’s strategic direction and framework. It is made up of the Mayor, all councillors and the Council Kaumātua.
At its meeting today, the committee confirmed the minutes from the previous meeting then moved on to considering an upcoming consultation on how we manage freedom camping in Porirua.
The committee agreed to going ahead with consultation from 21 November 2024 to 10 February 2025, with feedback being sought from the public on a proposed bylaw covering freedom camping locations, restrictions and more.
